چکیده
Water contamination by methylene blue (MB) is a threat to human health and aquatic biota due its toxicity, persistence, non-biodegradability. However, there little data available in the literature on removal approach from industrial effluents corncob-activated carbon. The purpose of this study was investigate adsorption aqueous solution capacities carbon were investigated batch experiments both synthetic solutions effluents. optimum pH value 10.3 with percentage 93.4 %. Methylene activated followed second-order kinetics well fitted Langmuir model. maximum capacity (Qmax) 11.36 mg/g. This revealed that has successfully removed effluents, percentages ranging 65.14 %, 76.28 excellent dye efficiency corncob industry suggests promising potential remediating contaminated wastewater.

متن کاملRemoval of Methylene Blue from Waste Water Using Activated Carbon Prepared from Rice Husk
The possible utilization of rice husk activated carbon as an adsorbent for the removal of methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions has been investigated. In this study, activated carbons, prepared from low-cost rice husk by sulfuric acid and zinc chloride activation, were used as the adsorbent for the removal of methylene blue, a basic dye, from aqueous solutions. Effects of various experiment...

Introduction: Discharging of industrial colored wastewaters especially into aqueous environments can cause adverse effects on aquatic life due to their toxic natures. In this study, montmorillonite modified by hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HDTMA-Mt) was used for the adsorption of methylene blue (MB). Materials and Methods: The influence of surfactant loading rate, contact time, pH, adso...
